~Our class has been learning about team work and positive communication skills through inventing and building 'pear pickers' in small groups. Teams were able to put their skills to the test during two visits to a pear tree in our neighborhood and harvested 42 pears together! Students spent time in class writing about their pear picking experience to share their knowledge with you.
Would you like to know more about our home made pear pickers to get ready for next fall?

Working together!
Perseverance!
Do you see Ben and Solomon? You probably do. You see them working together? Well I do! Work together because you get more pears. If you did it by yourself it would be harder because you couldn't reach really as much pears as you could with help. ~Ramsey
Look! Siobhan, Connor, me, Aubryana, and Gage are doing team work. Me and Siobhan are trying to get the pears. Gage and Connor are spotting the pears. ~Aubryana
What a good team! Alyssa and Alyssa. They are holding the first pear they ever got. Work together, because you know what, this won't work if you don't. If you do you will come home with a basket full of pears. The first time I tried to pick pears it was all wrong. I felt like a pit of snakes. But the last time it was really fun. Friends helped and we were successful. I think you will be too. So if you want pears for lunch and listened to the rules you are good. Have fun!~Aubryana
Take turns picking pears. ~Hunter
